Privacy Policy

Goaldyn is a personal planner for tasks, habits, goals, and focus time. It was designed to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information.

The short version

Goaldyn does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. The app has no user accounts, does no tracking, shows no ads, and includes no analytics or third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. Everything you create stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Your tasks, lists, habits, goals, focus sessions, and settings are stored only in a local database on your iPhone. This information is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Apple Calendar sync (optional)

If you turn on Apple Calendar sync and grant calendar permission, Goaldyn adds your dated tasks to a calendar on your device and reads changes you make to those same events in the Calendar app (for example moving or renaming one) so the two stay in sync. This uses Apple's EventKit framework entirely on your device; your calendar data is never sent to Goaldyn.

Voice task entry (optional)

If you use the microphone button to dictate a task and grant microphone and speech-recognition permission, Goaldyn uses Apple's speech recognition to turn what you say into text. On iPhones that support it, recognition happens on the device. Where on-device recognition is unavailable, audio may be processed by Apple's speech service under Apple's privacy policy. Goaldyn itself never records, stores, or transmits your audio; only the resulting text appears in your task.

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, Goaldyn schedules local reminders on your device. These are handled entirely by iOS and are not transmitted anywhere.

No data collected

Consistent with the above, Goaldyn's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected." Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for you to request, correct, or delete on our side — deleting the app removes its local data from your device.

Children

Goaldyn does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its "last updated" date.
